Hand Coloured Lithograph 'The Meet' After J. Herring - 1867

A bright and colourful chromolithograph on canvas after J. F. Herring by J. Harris. Titled 'The Meet' this lithograph is one of four from a set called 'Hunting Scenes' by John Frederick Herring - printed around 1867. Mounted in a beautiful gesso and gilt fame. The lithograph has some foxing and darkening from gaps in the wood backing. A very decorative item for the home, or ideal for a public house called The Fox & Hounds.
