A collection of nineteenth century Mughal School gouache paintings on paper with Urdu script. Each painting depicts a scene from Indian mythology and also have antique script written on the reverse. These illustrations were traditionally painted with brushes made of squirrel hair. Mughal court art was developed in the court of the Mughal Empire between the sixteenth and eighteenth century. All in very good condition consistent with age. Framed and glazed. A beautiful collection of antique Northern Indian art for interior decoration, or for a collector of Mughal art.
